SwimRoad
Open water experiences and new routes to explore, step by step, around the Kapidag Peninsula.
Getting to know a peninsula by swimming it
Kapidag sits in the middle of the Sea of Marmara, surrounded by water on three sides, with coves, islets and pine forest. You can see its coast on foot or by car. SwimRoad suggests seeing it from the water.
Swimroad Adventure is a brand offering open water discovery, time in nature and swimming experiences around Kapidag during the summer. Every experience has a safety plan, boat support and an experienced team. The aim goes beyond swimming: it is about getting to know the region's nature, its coastal villages and the sea itself.
The first routes start in the sheltered water of the Gulf of Erdek. The long-term goal is to explore the whole peninsula by swimming it, section by section.

Discover Nature by Swimming
Getting to know the sea, the coast and the natural surroundings by swimming. Seeing Kapidag's coves, islets and coastal villages from the water.
Respect the sea, safety first
Open water is different from a pool: currents, wind, waves and temperature change, and you can't see the bottom. Every experience is planned around these facts.
- Boat and sea safety support on every experience
- Orange safety buoy and a bright swim cap are compulsory
- A level check and health declaration for every swimmer
- Wind, wave and water temperature checks, with postponement if needed
- A route and signals briefing before getting in
- Routes closed to, or controlled for, boat traffic
Requirements
To join an open water experience you should be able to swim at least its distance in a pool, comfortably and without stopping. If you're not sure, book an assessment lesson first and we'll choose a route that suits your level together.
Swim without leaving a trace
The Kapidag coast is home to fishing villages, olive groves and the ancient city of Cyzicus. SwimRoad experiences use no single-use plastic, and meeting points are cleaned at the end of every experience.
- Experiences that finish with a beach clean
- Working with local fishermen and villages
- Keeping our distance from marine life and protected areas
